Libya 2007
Its a long drive to get to Libya but well worth it, what price Xmas in the desert, sat on a sand dune with friends - especially when Father Xmas turns up! Jebel Acacus and its rock art, as always, raises more questions than answers but without doubt it provides a window into the near past when elephant and giraffe roamed what is now the heart of the Sahara desert. The vast sand sea of the Ubawi proved a challenge but one that everyone relished - its not the destination that's important but the way that you got there.
